Adam Fountain

The Fountains Chess Mount, Triton, and Adam and Eve in Nizhniy Park surprised me. They were fun and beautiful. I had never heard of Peterhof, Nizhniy Park, or Monplezir prior to arriving in Saint Petersburg but they were on my friends list of places we were visiting. Since I knew nothing about these places I was more than shocked when we arrived. Our guide took us through the Нижний парк to first see Монплезир. If we had spent all day in Нижний парк, I don’t thing we could have seen everything but some of the fountains stand out because of seeing so many people enjoying them or they were beyond beautiful. Getting around Nizhniy Park in my wheelchair was a lot of work but very worth the effort. Wheelchair users: You should also always call ahead to find out if there is wheelchair access to bars, clubs, museums, and restaurants. In most cases the answer, sadly, will be in the negative. Alternatively, assume it is inaccessible and hire a few people to lift you and your chair up the stairs, and then be sure to pay very generously for the assistance.

Beware of ice cream vendors trying to rip you off all around the area, always ask exactly how much each item will cost or they will gouge you. Unless you value a small cone of mediocre quality to be worth 500 rubles, of course.
