Dragon bridge

This part of the park was created under the influence of the fashion for Chinese curiosities in those days, there are many buildings with a Chinese theme. The bridge is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the figures of dragons are relatively often the objects of vandalism, and one of them is currently being restored.

The Dragon Bridge was erected in 1785 by the design of the architect Cameron. The figures of these wonderful little animals were chosen for the decoration of the bridge not by chance. In Chinese mythology, dragons keep the state treasury away from non-virtues. Mythical winged creatures are clearly unfriendly tuned: their silhouettes are fancifully arched, their paws are elongated, their tails twist. One of the dragons flew away in an unknown direction. Now there are only three of them on the bridge.
