Under reconstruction at the moment.

The monument of Russian glory.

Designed by architect Antonio Rinaldi, crowned with an eagle trampling a crescent. Empress Catherine II dedicated the column to three victories of the Russian fleet: Chios - on June 24, 1770 in the Strait of Chios a battle was fought under the command of Count AG Orlov and Admiral GA Spiridov, in which 10 Russian warships and 7 frigates defeated the Turkish fleet, Chesmenskaya - on June 26 was the battle of Cesme, in which the entire Turkish fleet was burned and Mytilene - in November 1770 the island of Mytilene was occupied, as a result of which part of the enemy forces escaped, and the remains of Turkish warships are destroyed. During the war, the bronze bas-reliefs of the column were lost. In 1996, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy, designed by architect Alexander Kedrinsky, they were recreated again.
