Slava Svetlov (10/19/2020)
Very graceful gates, with their architecture, bring variety to this part of not only Aleksandrovsky, but also Babolovsky parks. When (if) the passage through the gate is open and there is time and opportunity, it is interesting to walk (ride a bicycle) from Aleksandrovsky Park to Babolovsky or back.

Its second name was given to the gates because of the nearby "Pavilion for Elephants" park. The gate consists of two symmetrically arranged sentries in the Neo-Gothic style. Initially intended for the park employees, oddly enough, they now serve the same purposes.

Beautiful and memorable exit from the park.

The gates were built in 1823-1824 by the architect Adam Menelas in the neo-gothic style. The gate consists of two massive brick guard, connected by a cast-iron gate. The gate was named after the Pavilion in which the imperial elephants lived nearby. There is a legend that after the revolutionary rebellion, stray animals wandered around the area until the valiant Red Guards caught them devoured.

Especially the plot for the gate is not worth going, but driving past on a bicycle, see this very thing
