Nice terrace

The main purpose of the granite terrace is the picturesque views that open from it to the lower part of the park.

As it stands today, the granite terrace was built in early 1810 by a project by architect Luigi Ruska, who worked in Russia and Ukraine between 1783 and 1818. Earlier, there was a hill for skating at any time of the year, specially designed for this, and the facility was designed by the Russian scientist A. Nartov. The dives were made by platforms on rails to the Great Lake. There were also three pavilions, as well as swings with swings for outdoor games. In 1910 and 1911 the granite terrace was reconstructed under the direction of architect S. Danini in preparation for the anniversary exhibition Tsarskoe Selo. Flower beds are located below the granite terrace. Now so is it, there are benches and a great view.
