Children’s House

One of my favourite places in the park. At first sight, there is nothing special in the small house on a small island, but somehow it is always pleasure to be here. The calmness and enigmatic atmosphere near this small house make you wonder what's inside. It seems there is some mystery about it. You can come to the house only in winter when the pond is covered with ice.

A beautiful and initially filled with the correct meaning of the pavilion, located on the island for a reason. Unfortunately, the last restoration was done poorly, but this does not negate the historicity of this place.

The children's house is a pavilion in the Alexander Park of Pushkin, built in 1830 by the architect V. M. Gornostayev. This small pavilion of blue color is located on an island in the center of the Children's Pond. The house had a living room and four small rooms. The island got on a small ferry, and later on a rowing boat. Children: Grand Duke Alexander Nikolaevich and his sisters Olga, Alexandra and Maria were delighted. Now the house looks miserable and abandoned.

Magical place. Special energy. I wanted to come back here again and again. It is a pity that the house itself has not been restored and there is no opportunity to get to the island.

On an island in the middle of the canal there is an unremarkable house in a very dilapidated condition. However, it is worth stopping, considering it and finding its history on the Internet - it is very interesting)
