Gora Levitana

Beautiful place. It was not just that Levitan stopped here to paint his pictures. The landscapes of Plyos are inspiring. A very old Old Believer wooden church is located at the very top of the mountain, surrounded by an abandoned churchyard. It was he who inspired the great master to paint the painting "Above Eternal Peace", and it is here that the sculptural image of the master Levitan himself belongs.

I advise you to visit at any time of the year. From here there is a wonderful view of the city, the Volga and the surrounding area. At the top is a wooden church, built without a single nail, shakes its atmosphere of peace and tranquility. You can go down and raise in different ways. It is worth walking on a beautiful wooden staircase once.
