Zabroshennaya Kirkha

A very beautiful Lutheran church, the bell of which any tourist can strike. The Lumivaara Church was consecrated on July 7, 1935 and it is designed for 500 people, which in my opinion is a lot for Finland in 1935, and considering that the population of Lumivaara in 2013 was 134 people (according to Wikipedia), it is completely unimaginable. The fact is that at the time of construction, the parish numbered about 5000 (!) People.

Exit from the Sortavala - St. Petersburg highway to Lumivaara. The dirt road is 11 km, we were in the sedan in August, we drove calmly. Kirkha is open. The floor is collapsed and swollen, but the stairs are solid. The bell is impressive. There are inscriptions and frescoes on the walls. There is a cross taken from the tower. Nearby is a Finnish war grave. Impressive!

Very interesting and atmospheric place. It's amazing that you can go inside, climb up and even hit the bell. Although the church is abandoned, the locals seem to take a closer look at it.

An interesting tourist attraction on a high hill. It’s a pity that they don’t repair it. We arrived here on bicycles. Primers are terrible, like washboards.
