Magnitogorsk in the Southern Urals was far from the frontlines during WWII, but its industrial potential made a considerable contribution to victory. The 50 feet-tall monument Home Front is devoted to those who worked for victory behind the lines. The figure of the worker in the monument is looking towards the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, while the soldier, who is receiving a sword from his hands, is looking towards the enemy in the west.

An impressive monument! Handsome and harsh! I liked the park around too! The playground is cool: rubber coating, cool lazelki and swings, the fitness zone is huge - there are a lot of simulators! Purely! It can be seen that the park is undergoing a period of restoration, we liked the loft-style gazebos. I do not know if the management of the plant is haunted by the glory of Galitsky Park, or there are people in the administration who work not only for their pocket ... in general, in comparison with Chelyabinsk, I respect Magnitogorsk! The city is clean, bright, there is a lot of space! The urban environment is great! I will be happy to come to visit!

The monument is a two-figure composition of a worker and a warrior. The worker is oriented to the east, towards the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works. Warrior - to the west, to the side where the enemy was during the war. It is understood that the sword, forged on the banks of the Urals, was later raised by the Motherland in Stalingrad and lowered after the Victory in Berlin. The composition also includes a Karelian granite stone flower with eternal fire.

A beautiful park, bike paths, although the paths for pedestrians are narrow and covered with gravel (it is inconvenient to walk, asphalt of course would be more familiar), the KAMENNAYA embankment was also a little upset (because of the kerpich, the beauty of the river is not visible). Compared to the fact that there was heaven and earth. The difference is enormous - flowers, new trees have been planted, weeds are mown, bicycle and pedestrian paths, cafes, rental, beach, embankment! In one word THANK YOU FOR SUCH BEAUTY👍👍👍👍👍

This is one of the main attractions of Magnitogorsk. Now a major reconstruction of the monument itself and the park near it has been carried out. All abandoned woods were removed, new footpaths and bicycle paths were built. Playgrounds have been built. Lots of art objects. Areas for rollerbikers and skateboarders are open. Closer to the stadium there is a slide that in winter turns into a small downhill skiing place where it is very convenient to teach young children to ride. It has become very beautiful and interesting to eat points with delicious food and even a restaurant.
