Zakharinskiy Valun

Zakharinsky boulder is one of the largest eruptive (brought by the glacier) boulders of the Yaroslavl region. Length - 3,4 m, width - 2,4 m, height - 2,6 m, weight about 40 t, it is composed of pink granite-gneiss. It was first discovered in the 1940s, probably at the same time, and fell out of the moraine. He crawled to us together with the glacier in the last Moscow glaciation 150 thousand years ago, from Karelia.
