Pamyatnik A.i. Zassu

Opened in 2008 near the circus building, author A. Rukavishnikov. A. Zass is an artist of the Orenburg circus, known in Europe as "the strongest man on earth". Fame came to him during the First World War. He escaped from Austrian captivity, carried a wounded horse from the battlefield. Alexander Zass is known under the name "Iron Samson". He toured a lot. Was with his performances in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, England, Ireland. From 1924 Zass lived permanently in England. In the USSR, until the 80s, practically nothing was known about him - "Samson" was considered a stranger to the Soviet system. Alexander Zass died in 1962. Buried near London in the small town of Hockley, where his home was.

Truly a great man, strong physically and spiritually. A hero of his time, glorifying his homeland. The monument keeps its history for descendants.
