This is a metal faceted cylinder, so it was called a glass. Nikolai Gavrilovich did all this with the help of electric arc welding. In 1891, Slavyanov received patents for the method of “electric casting of metals”, including in the USA, however, American experts expressed doubts about the suitability of Slavyanov’s method for welding non-ferrous metals - “It’s impossible to solder non-ferrous metals with ferrous metals,” they wrote. In response, Slavs with assistants and made two "glasses". For this piece of engineering at the World Electrotechnical Exhibition in 1893 in Chicago, he received a gold medal with the phrase "For the technical revolution produced." As a result, there are only two such "glasses" in the world, one in Chicago and the other in Perm in the Slavyanov Museum, be sure to look at it !!!
