One of the attractions located in the very center of Zlatoust is the monument erected in memory of the 27 underground workers who were shot by the Kolchak people in 1919. This is one of the first monuments of the Soviet era, which was installed on the old Urenga cemetery located on this site. Kiselev Vasily Andrianovich (1870, Zlatoust - 1941, ibid.) - engraver artist. In the jewelry shop of the Armory Factory, he worked from 1883 to 1917, including as a foreman of the hilt department. After the revolution, he served for several years in the factory archive, then returned to the workshop and again became a leading artist. In 1911 he designed the section of the Zlatoust factories at the trade and industrial exhibition in Omsk. The author of the project of the monument to 27 underground workers, installed in the city garden. The local history museum contains sketches of Kiselev's works. This is one of the first monuments of the Soviet era, which was installed on the old Urenga cemetery located on this site. The monument was erected by the workers of a mechanical plant after Kolchak's army left the city. The author of the composition was the artist-engraver V.A. Kiselev, who created a monument in the form of an obelisk of Shishim marble, decorated with bronze laurel wreaths. Around the obelisk there is a mourning ribbon on which the names of the fallen revolutionaries are engraved. There is a star on top of the obelisk. To this day, this tombstone has been preserved almost in its original form. Just a few meters from the monument are the graves of other famous revolutionaries of Zlatoust.
