The bell tower stands a few dozen meters from the cathedral. This is a typical octahedral Moscow tent-roofed bell tower, erected on a quadrangle. Such bell towers were usually erected in the second half of the 17th century. The bell tower of the Resurrection Cathedral is devoid of the proportionality that is characteristic of the churches of Moscow. Here the hipped top is extremely small compared to the octagonal tower and the base of the bell tower. Archival sources confirming the chronology of the construction of the bell tower have not yet been found. But a number of monographs dedicated to the history of Cherkassk, allow us to determine the time of the construction of the bell tower in 1725-1730 years.

The bell tower was restored. Now the beauty is snow-white. Below there were only cannons, the Azov gates were moved to the ataman courtyard, they stand at the entrance from the side of the Old Town restaurant.
