U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lafayette

Need improvements for the sense of customer services.

The experience was okay in that I received a uhaul truck and completed my move. However, I hired movers through Moving Help, which uhaul advertises in their website once you reserve equipment. You can select to hire movers through Moving Help right after you reserve your truck. They also advertise Moving Help with stickers located in the back of the truck and the cab. I scheduled the movers and my truck two weeks in advance. The Moving Help movers texted me right away to confirm. The night before my move, I texted the mover to tell confirm with him the move the next day. He responded and asked the time. I reminded him 12-3. The day of the move arrives and it’s 12pm. No movers have arrived. 12:30pm still now movers. I called the mover and texted him - no response. 1pm still no movers. So I had to move the contents of my entire apartment down the stairs and into the uhaul. Good luck trying to find an available moving service with same day service in this Trump economy! I finally posted on Facebook an ad for someone to come help with the heavy stuff.nMoving Help charged me at the time of my reservation, so they have had my money for 2 weeks already. So even though they did not send movers, they still have my money. You can’t call Moving Help because they have no number. When you contact uhaul, they say we upheld our end of the contract by providing the truck and tell you to call Moving Help customer service which is a joke. So here I am, after moving myself, out $215 with no response form Moving Help as of yet, and uhaul basically saying that’s between you and Moving Help. I thought I was hiring the movers through uhaul, as I explained above, everything was done through their website. Even the Moving Help website says powered by uhaul. So misleading and I have no recourse.

A good uhaul. They have storage, vans, trucks, and trailers with good service. Which is not always the case.

They assured me my reservation is good to go for 7/25.nSo Thankful. And I even got help with the boxes to my car. Really nice people here ud83dude01

We moved from Orlando to Lafayette Indiana last August 2020. U. Haul was amazing all the way. Thank You UHAUL!!
