R+L Carriers

I was OTR for 26 years before coming here. I've been here over 2 years, I make more money now and I'm home every day. I love it and hope I can finish out my career and retire without ever having to work anywhere else. Terminal to terminal, no touch drop & hook. Why would I want to go anywhere else?

Hired them to deliver medical equipment. They damaged it extensively during transit and still attempted to deliver to the recipient several days after original projected delivery date. Refused to take responsibility and refund or compensate for damages. Worst experience I've ever had with a carrier. Will not be using them again and definitely wouldn't recommend.

Horribly communication and LAZY delivery driver!

Driver never contacted me or the person in my house before dropping the shipment in my driveway. I specifically asked for a phone call when setting up the delivery time and was assured that I would get one. So after talking to a customer service person who basically told me there was nothing he could do and that they are a curbside delivery company that just dumps stuff wherever the driver wants, I talked to a manager and he is having the driver come back to move the shipment to the correct driveway on my property. I would have given 5 stars but the first Customer Service individual was totally non-apologetic.

In a time when the LTL logistics industry is taking a huge nosedive, R&L is at the tip of the demise. I work for a wholesale distribution company and receive shipments from R&L on a daily basis. Today we noticed we were shorted material on a delivery only minutes after the driver left. I called their terminal immediately and reported my issue. I talked to 3 different people at R&L including management and they would not allow me to amend my bill of lading. I felt as if they could have cared less about my situation. Poor service, poor product...
