True Audiophile

I recently decided to purchase a pair of Takatsuki 300B tubes, which are relatively hard to source due to limited production. After searching the internet for stateside retailers, and reading all of the reviews of those retailers, I decided to contact True Audiophile. A good decision on my part! Marc responded to my inquiry almost immediately and then determined that there were none available in the US. He rapidly afforded me information about the timeline for ordering these tubes form Japan. I then spoke with Gary to consummate the order.nnMy experience with Marc and Gary at True Audiophile was terrific! Both are knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. In fact, they honored their listed price for these tubes despite a recent increase from their supplier! During the entire order/purchase process, I was kept informed and updated, and the tubes arrived safely (they sound amazing in my system!!!) within about two weeks of my order.nnMarc and Gary take “customer service” seriously, which isn’t always the case these days! After dealing with them through this process, I feel like I know them, and I look forward to actually meeting them if I’m ever in Portland! I highly recommend True Audiophile! Five stars indeed!!

Needed to replace an old TT and TA was a great find. Gary is a wealth of knowledge and experience in audio gear. He was extremely helpful, patient and spent time discussing and understanding my needs and budget. The time I spent with Gary has been priceless, as my knowledge of audio gear has grown by leaps and bonds.nnThe new TT is awesome and blown away with how my old record collection sounds. It has brought out subtleties from albums that I have been missing.

Gary is absolutely amazing to work with. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience. His customer service is second to none. He will always be my go to for my audio needs. I was looking to buy a turntable and found these guys. WoW! I had no idea how complex it could be. They helped me through everything and find the exact right table for me AND cartridge. They were amazing to work with. Will definitely buy all my audio stuff from them!

I bought an Audion Silver Night Special Edition integrated amp and right out of the box it sounded better than my previous tube amp. I decided to have Gary’s tech upgrade it with Vcaps and the sound got even better. The music flows effortlessly through this amp. The 8 Watts is extremely conservative. If I turn the volume just past 9 o’clock, I can’t hear my wife talking to me while she’s less than 10 feet away from me. I usually listen with the volume between 8 and 9 and the dynamics are more than enough in my 16’x18’ room.nGary is a very attentive and knowledgeable guy as well. He always gets back to me very quickly and really knows his gear very well. I trust Gary’s suggestions as he has definitely steared me on the right path to musical bliss!nnRick from Michigan
