Pix Patisserie / Bar Vivant

I’ve loved Pix since the first time I visited on a whim in 2015. They have by far the best wine list (and prices) of anywhere else in Portland, and have won global awards for the best champagne list in America for several years running now. During the pandemic they have pivoted marvelously to a funky little dispenser out front that lets you buy their delectable treats while maintaining social distancing. Definitely give them a try if you want a nice appetizer to add to your quarantine meal at home, a one-of-a-kind dessert for the same, or just a neat rotating selection of delicacies from local and international artisans. Once the quarantine is over of course, stop in for the absurdly large and varied wine, champagne, and sherry lists, which also happen to have the added benefit of being almost inappropriately well-priced. Definitely a wonderful date spot, and the attached Spanish tapas bar is fun for getting a night out on the town started off on a good foot.

Pix Patisserie is so much more than the place to get your dessert in Portland, it is a place that aims to create all things that make you smile.nnStart by looking through their dessert offerings, and you'll immediately see that they're special; their desserts are beautiful, and after reading the amazing descriptions, you will definitely be hard-pressed to choose just one. This creativity also extends to their cocktails, so you can quench your thirst while you decide, but this always makes me buy more, so... ud83eudd37ud83cudffe‍♂ufe0fnnNext, they have a champagne/sparkling wine selection that frequently receives praise worldwide, while also ensuring local producers are very well represented.nnFinally, I found Pix while looking for the best desserts in Portland, but fell in love with Pix while doing a costumes & wine 5k to celebrate Bastille Day. This has easily become one of my favorite Portland events, and is also what makes Pix a beloved part of the community. Pix creates events that connect our community, while teaching us all more about something delicious. You can't go wrong here, but save yourself some regret and buy both desserts you're trying to choose between.

This is the best desert shop in Portland and a great date night option in non corona times. Now days they have the same desserts from a vending machine. This actually works quite well for them since to go orders have always been a huge part of their business. It does mean that dates will have to be at home or a park but the dessert will help make up for that ud83dude42

We've only used the vending machines outside, the pix-o-matic, but all of the pastries, tarts, and cakes we've gotten have been superb. A fun and inventive way to have a French treat while still being safe. The incognito is a personal favorite!

Okay I’m not one to wish to give less than one star on a place with otherwise amazing food but it was understood there would be a possibility for a PENDING charge of 33.00 with every purchase. However, and I have proof, this is not always the case. It did actually charge my card 33.00 for a $12 creme brûlée. It is no longer pending, and my balance shows that it did indeed cost me $33 that Was not returned to my bank like promised. It never was fixed either so I have to call my bank to dispute the charge. Honestly I don’t understand why this is an issue in the first place for somewhere with awesome food you think they would want to fix this problem. Def going somewhere else I don’t have the time or energy to have to call my bank and get my money back all for a microscopic dessert that was only supposed to be 12$.
