Henry Higgins Boiled Bagels

Had two bagels the other day. The everything bagel with cream cheese is really good, and how nice to have your bagel fresh and warm in a chilly early morning. However, the salt bagel, I mean, it's downright inedible - way too salty. I had to scrape the sea salt off the bagel as much as I can and it's still too much. I don't know how anyone can eat a bagel with this amount of salt.

Great bagels and a good COVID takeout system. However, the Salt bagel is WAY too salty. I have a really salty palate and get salt bagels whenever I’m at a good shop that has them, but the salt bagel here was absurd. I actually enjoyed the bottom piece because it wasn’t fully encrusted, but the top half was comically salty. My tongue was feeling the aftereffects for hours.

I love Henry Higgins. If you want a real bagel, you know what I'm taking about, come here! You'll wait in line most of the time but there's a reason why. My favourite is lox bagel on garlic and a cold brew. I drive out from Beaverton if that is indicative of my love of this place.

First the good: they make very good bagels. The bad part is that they have shorted us on our last two orders. Simple orders, too. The first mistake was not including the cream cheese we'd paid for. I noticed this when I got out to my car, so it was not hard to make it right, even though the person at the counter did so a bit grudgingly. The second time, we ordered two dozen bagels: 11 plain/11 poppy/4 everything. They didn't give us the everything bagels. We have called a bunch of times but have not reached a real person (OK, COVID, they get a pass). We have also texted and emailed. There hasn't been a response. I suppose I could drive over again and demand then, but I didn't have the easiest time minutes after they shorted me the first time even though I had the receipt in my hand. Bad customer service! I know times are difficult, but there should be SOME way to get a hold of them. All you can do is order and pay for food from the website.
