It has been awhile, however, I can still taste the fried chicken. Great, now I am hungry for fried chicken. And pie, they have awesome pies. One of my favorite pies would be the raspberry cream. Now I am hungry for raspberry cream pie and fried chicken. Looks like I need to plan a time to eat there again. This is really one of the best quality restaurants in the area both in terms of quality of food and service. If you get a chance to catch one of their shows, those can be tons of fun as well.

Awesome place. Serving staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, like my grandmother used to make (reminded me of it so much that it brought tears to my eyes (she passed in 2004). Ambiance was awesome. Very clean, nice and bright. Music was loud enough to hear but not drown out low conversation. We will be back!!!! ❤❤❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a family we love making the trip there, going to E&S grocery and then coming to eat at Blue Gate. My 4 year old loves seeing and petting the horses as we walk up and having a choice between dining and buffet is always nice. The food is amazing and full of flavor! Good portions and good service ❤ufe0f then after we go over to the bakery and get my husband's favorite pie, the cherry crumble. Always happy to travel the 2 hours it takes for us to get there! It's worth it!

We always go to the Bluegate when we are in Shipshewana.

We had the buffet before the show. The salad buffet was average, although the pudding offered looked yummy....they need to add crisp lettuce. The dessert bar was amazing, although they really need to provide sampler pie slices so one can try more. The meat was delicious...the stew meat, tender and tasty. The meat loaf was good, the fried chicken was super delicious. It was not a crunchy chicken....just juicy and flavorful. The sides were good. I was so full from the chicken that I could only take a bite of my hubby's pie.
