WARNING!!!! DO NOT APPLY HERE!!!!nnI applied to do their lease purchase program. I was promised $2000 take home minimum and 2,500 miles a week minimum and that the company was never going to take more than what I was paid. I was also told I would be able to negotiate my back huals for more money. Sounds amazing right, but I guess it was to good to be true. First I was giving a lemon as a truck that was constantly breaking down and eating fual. They were charging a $1540 a month for 3 years and a half for a truck that's only worth $10,000. I was asked to take the truck to volvo and get it fix, volvo mechanic told me that the truck had way to many problems and when he spoke to maintenance in tradewinds and told them what needed to be fix to have the turbo running properly they decided to only fix the coupling in order to save money when the problem was more serious than that. Before I took it to volvo I had made several stops to get it fix. Second I was only going to be taking home $400 a week and that didn't include me taking off taxes for the end of the year. 3rd I wasn't getting the miles I was promised and wasn't negotiating my huals back. And to top it all of in two weeks I had made a total of $7,197.96. I asked to speak to someone to get the situation resolved had a meeting and noticed that they didn't care and weren't going to do nothing about it. I even had to fix an account for them. I decided to cut ties with the company and get a payout. Now here's the kicker, out of the 7,197.69 they decided to steal my money because I only saw 3,800 where's the rest? I tried calling to see why i wasn't getting a full payout of my money but with no success. My payout was $0.00. The owner of the company doesn't care about it because he is too busy running other businesses and tradewinds is the last thing on his mind and from what I got to experience everyone has there hands In the cookie jar trying to run the company their own way. They LIE to get you in and give you shifty equipment and steal your money. Safe yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. My lost is your gain. If could give this review ZERO stars I would. I've been a trucker for two years with nothing on my record. I always give it my all and push myself to be great employee. I didn't deserve this!

I just started as a lease/purchase driver. The pay is worth the trouble. Some of the trucks are raggedy and should have been traded in a long time ago, but, there are some nicer trucks. There are usually always someone who will take your phone call, or, return your call. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to lease/purchase my first truck. I came in with absolutely no money in my pocket. When I needed money to eat, they have given me cash advances. Tradewinds Logistics is a caring company. On second thought, I change my mind. I had been requesting to be put back in truck 7428 for quite some time, but, it seems like your mechanics aren't getting paid enough to do their job correctly, or, they just don't care. Willy had said that 7428 was fixed and ready for me to take to get an alignment done. The place I took 7428 to have the alignment done, showed me the reason why the alignment could not be done. It seems that the kingpins were not fixed as Willy stated. In the meantime, I'm stuck in 7394, that had no paneling, or, curtains. I asked Willy for a new mattress for 7394. Willy then suggested that I take the mattress out of 7428. 7394 had really loose steering. David told me to pack my things and find my own way home. It was like he didn't care if the truck was fixed and road safe. I took the truck anyway, all because I needed a job. David needs to learn how to drive these trucks so he can get a better idea of how the trucks handle. David needs to listen to the drivers, instead of taking the word of the mechanics.

8t is hard to be pleased by a company that has no regard for the safety of their equipment, no concern for their drivers, and then at the end of it all threaten their drivers when they dont get their way. And I would love to see them say I never worked for them I have proof and then some. They have good loads and most of the people are pleasant to work with. But it takes more than a smile and quirky jokes to be anywhere near worth working for.
