Graeter's ice cream is the best, no question. They produce it in small batches using a special process, and it really shows.nThe best part are any of the flavors with toppings mixed in. They use (and always have, before it was cool and all the other ice cream places started jumping on the bandwagon!) Very large pieces. I'm talking multiple full Oreos in the cookies and creme, huge dark chocolate chunks in any of the 'chip' flavors, etc. Much better than pulverized tiny little pieces.nThey have a good selection of flavors, some classics that they have all the time, and other seasonal options that are really good. Their lemon sorbet is also excellent.nThey have some standard add-on toppings like sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, etc. As well as a few cone options. Their chocolate dipped waffle cone is delicious.nAbsolutely worth a try if you haven't been. Friday and Saturday evenings can be pretty busy (because the ice cream is so awesome), but they do a pretty good job getting people through quickly.

Neat place with a pretty solid cult following (ask folks from Ohio and they will gnaw off your shirt sleeve over it). Good ice cream and close proximity to the fountain by the city building and Carmel City Center. The ice cream won't change your life, but it won't disappoint either. Typically has shorter lines and faster service than a like-kind competitor that rhymes with Handel's.

Drove down to Carmel to try this legendary ice cream place. It came to us as a raving recommendation from someone who had been there for a birthday a few weeks ago and hadn't stopped talking about it. The taste didn't exactly blow us off our shoes but it didn't disappoint either.nnI tried the sundae and everyone else in our group went with single scoops. I loved the brownie in the sundae the best. The ice cream isn't overbearing with sweet and so you can actually taste the flavor and savor it longer. The store is open late on Friday and Saturday so you could consider swinging by some time if you're in the neighborhood.

I love Graeter's! It's been a favorite place of mine for years. If you have not been here before, go now. If you have been here before, I don't need to tell you.

Nice cold treat to end our day. Lovely service from the ladies working the counter.
