My goodness, this place is no joke! A dear friend of mine told me I absolutely needed to check this place out. I stumbled across the shop when seeking out lunch today. Surely the best donuts I have had! The flavors are incredible! I managed to get away with a marion berry w/ lemon drizzle donut that is tangy, pillowy, and sublime!!!! Wonderful staff and friendly service to boot! Will most definitely be back!!!!!
My first visit was last year. Since then, I have had more than enough visits and deliciously fried dough than I deserve. In my life I have visited my share of shops. Most always, the similarities from place to place are the same; maple bars,fritters,glazed. Dough Hook slapped the normal right out my head. Unique toppings like Horchata glaze, Marion berry, and then there’s the Cruffin. This flaky, croissant/muffin hybrid is a foot thick, rolled in sugar and cinnamon, and piped full of pastry cream. Make the effort to get your next fried delights from Dough Hook.
This place is incredible. Their doughnuts are so flavorful- probably the best I’ve ever had. It’s not all sweet though- They also have great sourdough bread on Saturdays and yummy croissants. I love their spinach feta croissant. They would do great if they expanded their menu even more to items besides doughnuts- I would love to try other bakery items they could come up with. This place has become a dangerous new weekend habit

Doughnuts are supposed to be soft and fluffy with a bit of crisp for texture. These are. The assortment of toppings ensures a choice for everyone. HUGE doughnuts big enough for sharing, but don't plan on it. Salem is lucky to have Dough Hook.
