Ed overhauled my cello and now it sounds like a different cello. Proud to play it now. I have recommended Ed to another cello player and overhauled hers too. We now play in Church together and it sounds fantastic! Thanks Ed

I highly recommend his services. Ed is very passionate about his work. He let me watch him set up my daughter’s violin and explained what he was doing and why. I left with some new instrument knowledge and a piece of mind knowing I brought the violin to the right man. He went out of his way to get the violin done in time for my daughter’s b-day.Very professional work and a very classy musician.

Ed was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my cello. It was pretty beat up before he fixed it up. He only spent an hour with us, but he managed to fix the bridge, all of the strings, and every small detail on my instrument. All the while he was explaining it and showing me what I should do to make it last longer until I decide to buy a new one. I highly recommend him.

Can't say enough positive things about Ed. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about string instruments, but just an all around neat person to talk with. So passionate about music. Went in for a bow rehair and peg to be fixed, but he went above and beyond in my opinion. Did and adjustment on my sound post and I cannot even begin to explain adequately how that one fix has made my violin sound like an entirely new instrument. Really! I am scared to play sometimes because the sound is so much fuller and louder that I don't want a mistake to be broadcast - LOL. I will be going back for a new bridge as he suggested. Seriously, don't go anywhere else for string work. You will not be disappointed.

Ed is a super guy, a true craftsman and very reasonable. I brought in a couple of violins that had been sitting for a few years in a closet. He diagnosed, repaired and educated me on proper care right on the spot. If you need major or minor work done, don't go anywhere else, see the Stringdokter.
