Lost Padre is the little local record shop you always hope to find. George has a deep passion and knowledge in a wide variety of genres and keeps a very well-balanced inventory. The prices are more than fair and the condition of the LP’s are always labeled honestly and priced appropriately. I always find more than I was looking for and can always have a great chat about music or audio gear with George. He also keeps a nice stock of vintage hi-fi audio equipment if you’re looking to upgrade your listening experience.

I visit record shops often everywhere I go, in many different states. This shop is one of the best. Great selection, clean, inviting, non-pretentious atmosphere. I was a little confused by the layout but that’s what makes a store special, the way they choose to operate- the true art of independence.

Lost Padre is a Santa Fe GEM! The shop is comfortable, well-stocked, and extremely well-priced. Friendly, outgoing, and unpretentious, the shop owner George will bend over backwards to get you anything you're looking for if at all possible. If it's in print, or in stock at some distributor ANYWHERE, Lost Padre can and will do what it takes to help you out. They're constantly getting new arrivals in and always have a great selection of rock, jazz, indie, country, soul, metal, you-name-it, and even a section of New Mexican artists both old and new. Equally reliable for the classics as well as contemporary releases, the store is unmatched in the state in my opinion. Support your friendly neighborhood record store whether you're a fellow resident or just passing through! P.S.: My guess is that the *one guy* below who gave them a negative review probably ignored COVID-19 compliance / maximum number of customers allowed (or the red + green lights out front to signal) or waltzed in without a mask on or something. They are ALWAYS welcoming and helpful. ☮︎
