First Impressions Salon

My pixie cut was finally growing out and becoming unruly. This time, I went to Terri ​ at First Impressions Salon​, who gave me a whole new look. Goodbye curls! Hello sass.nnThe salon is a cute little house sandwiched between a couple of strip malls (Banh Mi Barista and One Fine Day bridal). Hair services are downstairs. Esthetician services upstairs. I think Terri did a fabulous job. I told her I was giving her creative license to do whatever she wanted and I'm happy with the results.nnAnd it was such a luxurious experience. Terri totally pampered me with a scalp massage and some other nice little touches. Thanks so much, Terri!nnOh...also...this is my natural hair color. I had no idea what it looked like since I'd been coloring it for so long before chemo made me bald. Now it's growing back and this is the color. In this photo, it looks like my hair is black and silver but my eyebrows are brown. I don't color either of them.

I have been to three stylists here and they are all wonderful! I was a client of the owner for years even before she bought this salon. She is AMAZING! Now that she is the owner and doesn't spend as many hours cutting hair, I mainly go to Katelyn, who I love! The salon has a nice selection of products and services available as well.

I was so disappointed by first impressions....3 different times. First, they messed up my husband's appointment so they gave him a gift card. I decided to use it for a haircut. My appointment was with Katelyn. I just asked to trim off an inch and thin it out a bit, nothing fancy. I was happy at first but when I washed out the style and brushed my hair I couldn't believe how uneven it was. I called back and they said a different girl would fix it for free. Although I requested to come when Katelyn wasn't working to avoid the awkwardness, I was scheduled 2 feet away from her and she didn't say a word to me the entire time. Didn't apologize or try to see why I came back in. The girl scheduled to fix my hair was very nice but the original cut was so bad, it needed to be completely redone. And instead this woman just kept straightening my hair and using men's trimmers to try to even it out. She was unable to make it even so after an hour I told her never mind. I had to go to my previous stylist and get another 2 inches cut off to have this all fixed. Really just can't believe how this was all handled and that 2 different stylist didn't see a problem with the hack job cut I was given.

I love this salon. Michaela is a fantastic stylist with a specialty in color. The salon is cute and homey. I especially love the shampoo chairs. I could spend hours getting shampooed with no neck pain.

I've been here twice and I have had great experiences both times. This time I had Terri and she was great! She listened to my concerns and problems with my hair and past haircuts, and absolutely delivered. Love how it turned out, I would definitely recommend her and this salon.
