We hired Jays to move the heavy lifting items for us. The guys were fast and ready to work. They were very polite as well. Nothing was damaged. Our heavy items were securely packed in the truck. I will use them again for sure.

Our movers were not wearing masks and when asked to wear a face covering during a pandemic, they said “we didn’t bring any” and “you have to request it prior” and “we can leave it outside” - we have to request prior for you to have human decency? We gave them masks to wear but this is unacceptable. They are in and out of homes and we don’t know where they have been and they don’t know where they have been. They could be in homes where somebody had been sick. When the state department of health is telling you to cover your my face for public health reasons and you are in and out of people’s’ homes for longer than 5 min, this should be company policy. We used United Van Lines and paid a LOT for movers. The DC company was great and it was about 100deg in DC when they packed up our stuff and they wore masks. We will be complaining to United about this.

I have used Jay's Moving Company a couple of times. Have a third move scheduled next week. All my experiences so far have been excellent. The crews were friendly and worked hard. I've seen other reviews about hidden fees, etc but that was not true. Guessing they just don't have a lot of experiences with professional movers and how the process works. Pricing was excellent compared to other movers. I have used Two Men and a Truck and it was one of the worst moving experiences of my life. Would definitely recommend Jay's Moving Company.

There are no words to describe what happened to my sister and her husband's moving van going from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Forest, Virginia. The driver took a route, that he was advised against, driving through the mountains and somehow the truck couldn't take the up's and down's of the steep terrain and the van caught on fire. All of their 50 years of their lives are gone. Everything they owned was in that van, furniture, antiques, rugs, bedding, clothes, dishes, artwork and precious family pictures that can never be replaced and to many other things to list. Can you imagine losing 50 years of memories?? My sister and her husband are still in a state of shock and will never recover from this devastating loss.

What a fantastic experience! I needed a company to move my mom across town and Jay's did a superb job from start to finish. They helped every step of the way and really made my mom feel at ease when moving her belongings to the new apartment. I would definitely recommend their services!
