I went today with my wife and I'm appalled at how over grown and neglected this cemetery is. These are the founders of this amazing city and this is the thanks they received. We cleaned off and cleaned out the engraved lettering on several head stones because they deserve better then to be forgotten and neglected.

Really neat old cemetery with a lot of history! Gravestones mark back into the early 1800s, and there are nice paths to walk between them. There are even plaques with history about notable figures and families. Lots of pioneer families who came out from the East and even the first governor of Oregon.

Beautiful, peaceful place. (Dog people: be respectful and keep your dog on a leash here. It's not a dog park.)

Historic, serene and beautiful. 10 acres of walking paths and including the magnificently restored Egyptian Revival style Hope Abbey mausoleum. Visit Eugene Skinner’s grave and learn about many of the other Eugene historic figures as you stroll through the winding paths. A hidden gem in the heart of South Eugene. Operated by the non-profit Eugene Masonic Cemetery Association, it is an operating cemetery open to anyone.
