Market of Choice - Willamette - Eugene, OR

WHAT A HUGE STORE ! My wife and I were on vacation in beautiful Oregon not too long ago. After our big scenic drive down the coast we headed inland to stay a few days with my wife's son and his girlfriend in Eugene. As usual when we stay with friends or relatives we like to bring a bunch of food and stuff with us so we headed to this supermarket to stock up. I've never seen a supermarket so huge...it was like a warehouse only much better. We bought lots of fresh produce ( the son and his girlfriend are vegetarians ), Tillamook Ice Cream, non-fat milk, fresh mozzarella, artisan bread, craft beer and more. We were very impressed how everything was displayed and easy to find. Excellent store, wonderful choices and terrific service from Lauren in the Cheese Section and Angela in the Deli. We loved it !

It pricy, but good quality!

Went just for coffee...sat upstairs..it was nice all tables marked clean or not...everyone seemed to doing the 6 ft thing... company and coffee great.

It's great! It has pretty much anything you are looking for regarding organic foods, supplements, cleaning products, etc. Always clean and stocked. It also has a lot of plants!

I'm updating my original review for two reasons: 1) Since writing it, I've had numerous issues with spoiled meat and seafood from this store. By that I mean that I unwrapped the items to cook the same day or the day after I bought them and they were clearly rotten (smell, sliminess). This has happened with in- house sausages and various fish multiple times over the last year and a half, to where even though I live right by this store, I no longer buy any meat or seafood here. 2) I have become friends with two different people who used to work at this store who have informed me that Market of Choice does not value their staff or pay them well. I've observed that they are almost always hiring, which is usually a red flag. Though this is a convenient and well organized store w a good selection of foods and I like to spend my money locally, I avoid this store now and I'm removing my original review.
