Panera Bread

Great, quick service. Kiosk allows social distancing while ordering. 4 star b/c they did forget an add on i paid for

I love the broccoli soup and Panera Bread. Recently, I had bought some of their broccoli soup from Sam's and saw that they had bread that was similar, but not exact. I bought a loaf of that as well. It was good but not nearly as good as Panera Bread usually is. I grabbed some Panera Bread and some more soup and it was incredibly disappointed to find out the Panera had bought the Sam's bread and repackaged it. I understand private labeling. I understand repackaging something that you buy wholesale for resale. But this was incredibly disappointing given that Panera usually makes their own bread. I've eaten Panera Bread faithfully and I've had the Sam's. I'm a baker, so I know the difference. I'm not happy to make the longet trip and pay the extra cost for a Panera loaf, and get Sam's; and if that happens again, I'll try a different Panera or just find something else.

Incompetent management, portions are small prices are high, service is slow as hell. Save your money and go to McAllister’s they’re faster and nicer and the food is better. They might as well not even have a restaurant phone they never answer it!

Mixed experiences with this Panera. I appreciate that they’re open and have offered their current summer coffee subscription free. That said, the coffee isn’t great, it runs out quickly, and it tends only to be hot in the morning, and then not refreshed throughout the day. There is even a sign that says coffee is not brewed after 2pm. Food is tasty, but bakery selection is very limited currently. I understand they’re making less bakery items to waste less because of the virus/lower sales, but this morning (Monday) by 10am there wasn’t a single bagel of any kind in the bakery! Another day this week, I ordered an everything bagel at the front (there were 5-6 left), sat down, and by the time my order came in the window, there were none left (apparently an curbside order had come in and took them all.) The manager refunded me and offered me another bakery item for free (of the limited items remaining), but they would do well to reconsider their ordering system given limited bakery items and simultaneous in-person/online orders. They do a good job of socially-distanced tables. Interestingly though, I’ve never seen any staff wipe their tables (despite there not many being many utilized because of distancing) even though I’ve worked on my laptop at this location for hours and observed multiple customers rotate through the same exact tables. I wipe my own table for both food crumbs and sanitation before I sit using spray and wipes by the kitchen window.
