Saks Fifth Avenue

We parked by the Saks entrance and made our way through the Fashion Mall in Indianapolis tonight and went on to shop other stores. We knew Saks closed at 6:00 so we rushed to get back before that time. The upstairs entrance to Saks was gated when we reached it, at exactly 6:00. By the time we made it downstairs at 6:01, that entrance was also gated. An employee was getting ready to let people out of the store, so we asked if they would let us return through the store to get to our car parked right outside their entrance. “No” was her response with a rude tone and a very weak explanation. Very poor customer service. Very rude employee.

Saks can be a hit or miss. Most of the sales associates in the men’s department are arrogant and snobby. Was conducting an online return and the woman acted like it was a huge burden. It took a whole what, 60 seconds, to complete my return?nI will say, however, Bee is great! Super friendly, and not pushy at all. Overall, I definitely prefer Nordstrom to Saks but if you’re looking for a particular item or items on sale Saks is worth checking out.

My experience at Saks was a mixed bag, first contact was kind of dismissive and had us feeling a little profiled. I think the saleswoman thought we didnt look the part, maybe I'm wrong. Upstairs we met Emma who turned our opinion around, she was a big help in styling choices. Gucci shop was cool too, great customer service it was closing time and we didnt feel rushed to make a purchase, or like I wasn't welcome. I appreciate that. Overall, it's a nice place to shop because they do have some nice things and the gift card promo wasn't a bad touch. Just stop making people feel profiled, it's not a good look.

I enjoy coming into Saks, but wish they had a larger selection of men's clothing and accessories. Jo Malone counter is great, as is the LV shop.
