I've worked with Mike at the Lafayette Rd location and ordered my dinette set in June 2020. When I placed the order I was initially told the dinette set was in stock. I cancelled the livingroom set I ordered with the dinette set due to the poor quality in manufacturing I found reviews on. I reached out to the furniture store in August to follow up on the dinette set and was told that my order was put at the end of the line due to my livingroom set cancelation and had produced a new order number. It is September 10th, three months later and I keep being told on back order and additional 6 weeks just for shipping. While Mike is a pleasant sales manager I am being charged a cancellation fee of 15% restock because I am disappointed in the fact I have not received what I ordered THREE MONTHS LATER. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK WITHOUT BEING PENALIZED FOR WAITING AN UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD OF TIME FOR MY ORDER. I understand we are in a global crisis however I ordered a livingroom set from a different company and received it in less time that expected and it's high quality. The restock fee makes zero sense since the item is not in stock.nnUPDATE: Furniture Discounters agreed to give me my full refund for the dinette set ordered in June 2020 but never received. I went to Bob's Furniture in Castle an ordered a nicer and even better quality dinette set the same day. It's not been even 6 weeks since the order was placed with Bob's Furniture and I'll be picking up my new dinette set. Did I mention the high quality and great value???...check out the reviews. I am now being treated like a valued customer and not being taken advantage of during the global crisis. Definitely worth my throwing a fit!!!

Please, do not do business with this establishment. They are beyond unprofessional. I order furniture months ago. I never retrieve anything. After, weeks I retrieve a phone call from a gentlemen stating my mattress was here. I said. “Well, what will I do with a mattress”? I need the rest of the furniture. This was also the agreement prior to me agreeing to any contract and/or retrieving any furniture. Shortly after this conversation( approximately three weeks later), I started getting phone calls requesting payment and they never delivery anything.nnSo, I decided to cancel. I walk into the store, and told the gentlemen I would like to cancel my contract and explain the issue. He said “I called you, and told you we had the mattress, bed, and two night stands”. I reiterated to him that was not the conversation. If fact, it was the complete opposite.nnIn that same conversation, I told him I knew you had the mattress weeks ago, please do not contact me until the rest of my furniture arrives. I cannot do anything with only a mattress. He proceeded to cancel my contract which I appreciate, but for a furniture establishment, one would think, a person who is agreeing to pay thousands of dollars for furniture, they would more proactive and polite.nnMeaning, putting me on a constant contact schedule updating on the status of my furniture and thanking me for my wait and business. When I came-in to buy furniture, I would appreciate a welcome greeting like—can I get you a seat, refreshment, etc.nnBy the time of I decided to cancel and express my confusion, I would of expected a apology for any inconvenience. In addition, a statement along these lines “Your decision to cancel with our business is heart-wreckening. Mr. blank, could I do you a favor now by contacting the merchant and see if I can get a approximated date. We appreciate your business”.nnNone of this happen, I was shocked. Instead, he argue with me saying he call me and told me the items they had currently in the store. Where is the business etiquette? This is a totally bad form of business and no one should ever come here to do business.

I have never dealt with a more unprofessional place of business in my life. These salesmen/store reps are actually scam artists. They tell you anything to get the sale, then can care less afterwards. I have to hope the owner does not know what is going on under him. My boyfriend and I purchased a sectional from here and was told that it would take 4-6 weeks to be delivered. 10 weeks later and all we have been given is the run around. No furniture. After being given several delivery dates that came and went, we decided to just request a refund. We were told by Wallace at the Lafayette Road location, that we would have to wait around 10 days for a refund and that they would be charging a 15 percent cancellation fee. For not holding up THEIR contractual end of the agreement, they are going to charge for cancellation?? Even if this is a restocking fee, why would be have to pay a restocking fee for furniture that hasn’t left a warehouse? We have no furniture and have waited a month outside of the date range we were told. He also refused to give us a number for his supervisor or the owner, I had to do some digging for an email address. I have emailed the owner and am hoping he will make things right in good faith. Customers should not be treated this way.

They are very willing to take your order but their customer service and delivery service is beyond terrible. They promised to call twice, promised to provide answers to when delivery will happen 5 times, never returned phone calls and I have to personally make each call to them. No explanation to my questions besides they will call the furniture store and get back to me. At least a good sales person would call, apologize for late delivery and explain the situation. No, they were pretty rude in their treatment of clients after the sales.
