I’ve been doing lessons with Doug for the past several months.nHe has a recommended lesson plan but will change the lessons based on your interests and learning style. I spent a few months learning guitar, then switched to Piano. I’d like to do vocal lessons at some point as well. It’s nice that I can learn whatever I like with one teacher.nnPrices are very fair and Doug is great about working with your schedule. I’m learning a lot and definitely getting my money’s worth.

I've taken electric guitar lessons at T.O.L. Studios for 3 months now. I'm 51 years old and never played an instrument in my lifetime. Now, I can play first two positions of the C major scale & Am pentatonic scale. I can play 6 riffs & can play 7 songs (3 totally & 4 without solo).nDoug understands the student's needs, and is able to adapt the lessons to support your goals. I always have fun at my lessons.

Father son duo for guitar lessons. Overall great experience. I appreciate the great communication via phone, text, and in person. Lessons are performed in a basement studio that is well set up. Instructor is prepared each week. The only constructive criticism I would mention is that due to it being a basement studio there is no waiting area for parents at the moment. From personal experience and observations if you are not the student you're either waiting in your vehicle or you leave and come back. That would be the one advantage to a store front based studio. However with that said I would not let that sway my decision from attending music lessons here.

There are not many teachers able to do what Doug does. His experience and level of understanding of music goes way beyond the theoretical. I have one son who studies piano with him, but occasionally needs to play a part on the guitar, and Doug is able to help him with both. I have another son who plays the drums, and it's amazing how easily Doug switches gears and how patient he can be. There are occasions when as a family we learn to play a song and Doug helps us to sound great. If you're wanting someone to teach music in a way that it becomes a part of your life, this is the studio for you.

Doug is a very caring and patient, talented instructor, he let's you learn at you own pace. It's fun to learn from a person who has a passion for music. Guitar, Drums, Piano. I'm in my late 50s beginner guitar so it's never to late to start. You can do lessons online or at his place. During the covid-19 he did everything online to keep everyone safe. Now that things are kinda getting back to normal he has masks and cleans and disinfect the lesson room after every student.
