Best Buy

They just don't have what they used to anymore

Best Buy is a great retailer to work with, and their prices are very competitive, often the best. They've adapted to 21st century shopping and taken the older concept of winning with customer service to a nearly unmatched level. I do wish the people at the top would invest in staffing their stores better - both for people shopping in person like me, and for their store employees. In spite of that, they really do have some of the best service of any retailer, both online and in person.

Went in on Black Friday, however there was no line at the time. I was able to walk in and see that the door greeter was talking to another customer and asking them if they were looking for anything in particular. Because my plan was to just browse, I tried to step around and proceed on my way. The door greeter stopped talking to the other customer and informed me that they had a process. This was fine, and I told him so, even though I knew he was just going to proceed to ask me the exact same thing next. However, I kept that opinion to myself and said okay and waited. He THEN rudely went on a power trip, asking me to step back 2 feet out of the store, finished up with the other customer and then asked me if I was looking for anything. I told him I was just browsing and he said I could go ahead. Thank you for wasting 30 seconds of my life because you had to cling on to what little power you had as a Best Buy employee. I get that he was trying to prevent chaos in the store, however, there was no line at the time and the store obviously wasn't even at capacity since he told me I could go without a moments hesitation of seeing if any other customers had left the store. I would have preferred to be treated as a paying adult customer that knows where he is going instead of a child. You work at a Best Buy, you're not a soldier in a 3rd world country riot. Calm down.

Wife and I were shopping for a microwave. They had several choices. Many were built-in, but had some plug in portable microwaves. It was weekend and several of the isle's had product waiting to be put up. While not my favorite, have been there a few times in past, will go back. If you need electrical products, give them a try.
