Hate the 'mask nazis' at the door. Makes it an uncomfortable shopping experience.

I showed up yesterday with a huge truck to pick up a large order of totes. There were 12 pallets in all. I was discouraged by two managers before i even left the front register. Both of them had frowns on their face and said they wouldn't fit, I needed a pallet lift, blah blah blah. I really couldn't handle their negativity and lack of problem solving skills. I won't mention their names but I will say that they did not provide any customer service.nSo I drove to the back to troubleshoot the situation. That's when their employee, Ryan Wright went the extra mile and helped me find a solution. Together we unloaded the totes from the pallets and hand stacked them into my box truck. While Ryan was providing exemplary service, the rest of the Costco staff ran away without lending a hand. Ryan not only fit all the pallets of totes in my truck, he was able to get one additional pallet in there. This is what customer service means to me. You problem solve and work up a little sweat going above and beyond your call of duty. Ryan Wright, thank you for your exemplary service! You saved me a lot of time and money. I hope your supervisors watch and learn from you.

I received a gift card as a Christmas gift, after canceling my membership a few years ago. I went in to redeem it and was very shocked with my experience. Costco always has great deals and a little of everything which I love. However the customer service was extremely poor. I selected my things to redeem my gift card, at check out when I presented it and stated that I didn’t have a membership, but a gift card- Dean, the check out guy threw his hands up and walked away. After he grabbed a manager to enter his code he proceeded to throw my items at the girl bagging. I was in complete shock with his behavior, as was the rest of the line. Due to this I will not be joining as a member and hope I never have to go back. Also, when we left I grabbed a smoothie for my toddler and was presented with a paper straw. I informed them that this was a choking hazard to my baby and was denied a plastic straw. Ended up tossing the drink. Worst Costco experience.

I've been to many Costco's in many states; this is by far my favorite one. ALWAYS clean, always stocked, wonderful and friendly employees! I needed help loading my car, and I didn't have to wait even 5 minutes for assistance! I offered a tip, but the employee said no thanks due to store policy. I can't wait until I have to go here again!
