Mount Pleasant Cemetery

I grew up near this cemetery in the 1950s, and used to walk by it four times a day going to and from school. Magnificent obelisks and mausoleums. The Dryden Mausoleum is bigger than the house I lived in. This is an oasis in an otherwise bleak part of Newark, and worth a visit.

Most beautiful Cemetery ever seen. Very very well maintained and obviously loved dearly. It was like walking through time. It was a very nice surprise to see historic figures Graves. Thomas Edison's son and Mary Stilwell are buried here as well.

Very organized very beautiful place very peaceful place at least she's at peace now sure do miss her me and Baby J

“Peaceful Cemetery”nThe cemetery was very peaceful and beautiful with the fall leaves. It was easy to get to and appeared to be very well kept. The cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. I specifically wanted to see Maud Munn, the little girl who died on New Year's Day in 1892
