I am so upset about having to even write this review after being a repeat customer (About 10 cakes in and 2 sets of cupcake orders now) however I’m beyond disappointed with the outcome of this cake. I asked for polka dots with the flowers from the cake I screenshot from their website and ended up with a pink blob of flowers on top of this cake. So embarrassing and don’t even want to present it to guests.

I only went to this place because the venue I booked for my wedding included the cake and it had to be made here. We went for a cake tasting, worse experience ever. The lady didn’t even greet us, we sat down and she brought a few cupcakes and left them on the table. We didn’t know what to do since she didn’t explained anything nor told us the flavors of the cupcakes. We had to call her and get her attention as she was all in her laptop. She then explained each flavor and still didn’t tell us what designs were available. We saw 2 binders in a table by us and just grabbed them and started asking her questions. She couldn’t answer some of the questions as she didn’t know the answers so idk what was the point of a cake tasting if the person there working didn’t have answers to our questions. We ended up picking 2 designs for our 4 tiers cake. She wrote them down and gave us a copy. As we arrived to our wedding, we noticed the cake only had one design. This was really frustrating, I didn’t expect something so simple to be made wrong, we planned our wedding for over a year and I couldn’t believe a simple cake couldn’t be made correctly.

They did an amazing job with my step daughters birthday cake. It was exactly how I’d hoped and was delicious, too!

We held our wedding at Indian Trail Club (10/11/19) who partners with David's Cakes - and we're so glad they do! We easily scheduled our tasting which was very basic itself. David's Cakes offered a bunch of options, combinations, and recommendations without being overwhelming. They were responsive and patient via email. We had three different combinations for our cake (chocolate cake/PB buttercream, vanilla cake/dulce de leche mousse, red velvet cake/crea cheese buttercream) and they were delicious! We're so happy with how our cake came out! This, in combination with following them on social media and seeing their outstanding designs makes us want to have another event with a David's cake ASAP!
