Consulate General of Algeria in New York

For those people who wrote their bad experiences : what are you expecting from doing that ? this consulate will loss their costumers? Or the city will shut them down ? . I recommend you to write to the embassy or even the ministry back home . Of course if only one or two persons will do it, doesn’t make a sens. But all of you at the same time, constructive critics lead to the better service. Good luck for those who work there .

In here no body answers to the phone and emails. Called them hundred of times, no answer. The same thing for email. It seems the only way to solve your issues is to go physically to NYC. This is not new, nothing changed the last 10 years even when they were located in DC. I just hope the original documents I sent months ago didn't get lost. Welcome to Algeria!

I sent my form to renew my consular card along with my kid’s passport. While the passport did make it back 5 months later, my card never did. I called a million times and emailed several times to no avail! Absolutely no answer. It doesn’t matter that I’m asking for my card, they chose to ignore me. That’s how they operate. If you don’t like it write to the pope!
