I canceled my membership at Planet fitness Paterson. When I received documentation throu their email, it read reason for cancellation, coronavirus. The employee never ask me the reason why I wanted to cancel. I did not cancelled my membership because of covid19. The reason I cancelled due to the fact the homeless people drinking and doing drugs in front the Planet Fitness facility, it's unsafe. Is ongoing issues since I started my membership.The smell, litter of garbage and liquor. Bothering customers for money. I made my decision to cancel my membership as soon the facility open up again.nThe staff needs more training in customer service, professionalism, and be more attentive customer's concerns.nI joined at a different gym (not planet fitness). Is a great place very professional, very very clean, parking and I feel safe.

Clean lots of room nice atmosphere for working out could use more locker space...

I’m writing this review based on my recent experience. I called in and spoke to Steven a manager and explained I needed to postpone my membership and have the dues refunded back to me. He explained that there was no way for them to do that since I received notification by email the gym was reopening. This news was very unfortunate for me since I’m a single mother with 3 kids that have been laid off of work. The manager handled me and the situation poorly. I would not recommend joining this gym because of how they treat people going through hardships.

Gyms are back open! It felt so great to get back out there and workout. The staff took temperatures upon arrival and the machines such as treadmills were marked with social distancing signs.
