Ho-Ho-Kus bagels Delicatessen

I so desperately wanted to love this place. Perfect location, perfect atmosphere, nice decor, great coffee, great selection of cream cheeses... Bagels fell well short of expectations.. Bagels did not seem freshly made, more like freshly microwaved.

Would love to see a larger variety of bagels but the breakfast sandwiches are always spot on!

Clean premise; attentive counter staff. Food cooked to order. Very reasonable pricing

They are under new management. They tried to put egg and cheese on top of the box cream cheese spread. They must’ve miss-heard. When I got home, the cream cheese on my bagel was rancid. I’ll be going to a different Bagel Shoppe for no one. I hope this is just a learning curve for the new management. The coffee was good though, and the worker was very nice - obviously just new.

After new ownership, bagels are much, much better.
