I recently purchased a gorgeous mid century dresser painted in black cherry chalk paint and waxed according to their YouTube video. Upon bringing it home, I found the door hinges had spinning stripped screws and were loose. Then found the top was coming apart from the dresser, which I then re-glued after repairing the holes and rehanging the doors. After the furniture was setting with the glue I removed the furniture clamps and the paint underneath the clamp was removed as well. In the long run, I have decided the furniture was not worth the $285 price tag and sadly will not be able to get use for a while as I will now have to sand the top and hope to save it and stain it. Sadly it was never sealed. Very disappointed, but Haymish was Very nice and helpful in answering my questions, little did I know that they do not restore old furniture just paint it. Also, they did miss the underside of the lip of the dresser. I would save my money and make purchases from others. For $285 I shouldn’t have to fix anything.
