I'm so glad I found Barrett. He really knows his stuff. I recently got back into playing guitar and no matter how nice of a guitar you purchase it is going to need a setup at the least. Barrett will not only setup your instrument, but also for how YOU play it. Don't waste your time or money anywhere else.

So, let me qualify this review by stating up front that I’m a novice guitar player. I’ve been playing for about a year and have been using the internet to self-teach. Although, I have a reasonably high end electric that I’ve had in the case since new for about 30 years. So, I decided that I should have someone do a full inspection and setup for this instrument. And, being so new to this discipline, I did a lot of research regarding who I would choose to trust with my guitar. Still, it was a bit of a shot in the dark. I finally decided that an independent luthier that I could build a service relationship with would be the best plan. This has proven to be the right choice. I found Barrett to be professional, friendly and straight forward. I can tell you, I’m super pleased with and grateful for the services Barrett provided.n•tTruss rod adjustment (remember, this guitar was in the case under tension for 30+ years!).n•tIntonation (Floyd Rose).n•tPickup adjustments.n•tOver all inspection.nnI found Barrett’s instrument return timeline and fees to be very reasonable as well.nnInterestingly, I feel like the work Barrett performed on my guitar has advanced my playing by several months. This is because, a number of issues I thought were a product of my playing actually turned out to be caused by the condition of the instrument. Barrett worked on both my LP Junior and my scalloped neck Stratocaster and did a fantastic job. He was more than fair on parts needed and his bench rate is very reasonable for the quality and care he gives an instrument. Great guy and great service!!!
