Frye's Moving Company

These guys made our move (from a 2nd floor apartment) so effortless and stress free. They were incredibly professional and detailed. It was raining for our moving day and they took such care to wrap everything so well to make sure that nothing got wet. Our electronics were expertly wrapped and moved, our furniture was disassembled and reassembled, and they were so careful with the whole process! It was so straightforward and easy to communicate with them - I’d recommend them to anyone looking to move! Thank you for helping us settle into our new place!

After another house fell through due to major inspection issues, I waited until after inspection to try and book movers. Frye’s Moving was the one company who didn’t act like I was crazy only calling two weeks out. Joe’s dad was such a nice man on the phone and Joe was as well when I confirmed I wanted to hire them. They had a cancellation that fit my timeline perfectly and I took it. Joe called two days in advance to confirm which was really nice to ensure we were right on schedule. The movers were due at 8-8:15 and they showed up a couple minutes before 8 a.m.nnThe three movers were professional, hard working and polite. I wish I had gotten their names, they were awesome. They safely moved my entire one bedroom second floor apartment into the moving truck within an hour, I was amazed. They were completely done moving me into my three story house by 10:30. My large mattress was the only thing that slid against a wall (it was unavoidable) and the lines came out immediately with a magic eraser. I have never had a move go so smoothly and with no damage. I haven’t opened my fragile boxes yet, but I have a feeling everything is safe.nnI was so weary after my last move when another company shattered my TV and my coffee table and damaged all of my furniture and refused to pay even the insured amount, but this has restored my faith in moving companies. The only thing I would have changed is the minimum time considering I had to pay for 4 hours and it took less than 3, that would’ve saved me a lot of money. However, the cost was worth knowing I had peace of mind and my new home isn’t damaged. If you’re browsing these reviews while on the fence, I’ve moved 8 times in 8 years and this was by far the smoothest.

I am not a person who usually posts reviews online. In fairness to Joe, if the aforementioned damage to my home is taken care of THE RIGHT WAY in the next two weeks I will completely update this. My father in law moved out of my home on 10/31/20. He technically hired Fryes. I wish I could upload the pictures but while taking out a futon carelessly, the workers damaged the paint and wall to our newly “flipped” $330,000 home. Pics were taken immediately and the owner was notified. The bottom of the baseboard was slashed significantly and part of the white bedroom door was damaged significantly. The owner (Joe) came out the following Tuesday to assess and referred to the damage as “superficial”. Being an insured and bonded company, our door should be replaced, spackeling when necessary and a full paint job of the entire wall. Again, if he does what’s right I will update this review but my wife and I are given the impression he will cut corners whenever he can and do the bare minimum patch work. I will write more if the damage isn’t addressed properly. It is important to note that my wife and I received three quotes to paint the aforementioned damaged wall all from licensed and bonded painters. In order to protect our home, since this company is insisting on “using their guy”, their painter must be licensed and bonded. This is a very reasonable request from a customer who wants to protect the integrity of the work done in a recently purchased home.nADDENDUM: As of 12/3/20, as promised, I have modified my final review. It took multiple, “patch work” attempts to get us where we are today. The bottom line is the damage to my property was not addressed through the insurance nor in a timely, cordial manner. IF YOUR MAIN CONCERN IS POTENTIAL PROPERTY DAMAGE OR DAMAGE TO YOUR BELONGINGS, MY ADVICE IS TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. The character of the owner is shady at best and he cares more about his GOOGLE REVIEWS than anybody or anything else.

Excellent moving company. Can't say enough good things about Frye's Moving. From the booking process to the days of my move went seamlessly. Joe was great and also got to chat a bit with Joe Sr which was very nice to hear about the history of the company.nOn moving day Kay, Eddie, and Mark were AMAZING. They were on time, professional, quick, and carful with all of my items. Not a thing was damaged. Will definitely use Frye's in any of my future moving needs.nThank You!
