Rent-A-Center

Went in there to buy a couch, ALL of their furniture is USED... not a very big deal but they are asking new prices for used furniture. My girlfriend went ahead and decided on a couch and a tv......... the couch was broken and torn, their way of repairing it was beating it with a hammer. No I’m not joking either, the arms on the recliner was bent and so they beat on it till it “ straightened “. We were able to get a decent price out of it for said issues so we got it. The tv is brand new, so far no issues. The problem was the store manager, I believe her name was AJ. She allowed me to leave with furniture which was nice but when I told her we did not want to buy a entertainment center she then started ridiculing me and my girlfriend. We asked her about how long she expects it be before we are allowed to pick up items... she then says “ well soon as you make up your mind “....... we told her several times what we wanted and so I don’t know where the confusion came from. Then as I had to load up the items myself she says to my girlfriend that was in her car that she needs to get rid of her car and get a truck.... I’m loading stuff in my truck so again don’t know why it mattered if my girlfriend was in a car or walking down the street pushing a shopping cart full of garbage. My girlfriend told her the reason she has her car and is not interested at the time of getting anything else because her car is paid for. AJ ( store manager ) told her you don’t want to buy a car because your car is paid for but you are here buying furniture. Several times I about unloaded the furniture and took our business else where. Tried remaining calm cool and collected I strapped the items down and began to leave when she had to open her trap again and say you have to go slow I’m not even pulled out of the parking spot yet when she says this in a hateful and disrespectful tone. If you don’t need to get furniture right away and can wait on orders I will recommend going elsewhere , we could not wait on orders for a couch. I will be calling to make a official complaint with rent a center Tuesday 9/08/20. There is a couple people there that is very friendly and would like to see one of them take over managementnnMay I also add I drive a old square body Chevy that is carbuerated, if you pump the gas a few times before starting it puffs out a cloud of smoke upon starting. I may have smoked a bit in their store, to the other people working there I apologize but AJ ( store manager ) had something on her face was trying to use exhaust on truck to blow it off

There’s this lady who work there, named Carlie Taylor. I think she’s the sales manager, and I overheard a lady at the establishment asking their sales manager that she wanted to get her phone back. But then, what their manager did, was she threatened the lady that they will call the police for being scandalous. But the lady who was asking for their sales manager, is just calm and begging her to give back the phone. Also their manager is being a racist to the lady because she’s Asian. I hope she get her phone back, and they fire that sales manager. She’s no good for the business.

Absolutely terrible they try to sell you used garbage for new prices!

Worst business I've ever seen! Not sure why they have a sign saying they have free same day delivery but cant deliver anything for almost a month. Seems like its false advertisement. Potential law suit? Not only that but I've been in this store 3 times every time it's a wreck and not only that the employees say or do something witch make me leave the store and not purchase anything from them when I entended on buying at least $4,000 in merchandise. Great job guys you should think about maybe firing you're managers and getting someone who wont push potentially paying customers away.

My first experience wasn’t so bad it took a long time but hey I was in no rush. This time I was told that if I paid for the first week it’ll only take 2 weeks. Well two weeks pass and then they correct it and tell me it could take 2-5 weeks. Okay. Now my couch is here but when I called the lady told me that 1 piece had come in. When I asked her if it should of come with 2 pieces she replied I have no idea. It’s definitely supposed to have 2 pieces because it’s a large L shaped couch with a pull out bed in it. So there’s no telling how long I’ll have to wait on the second half because she couldn’t even tell me when it might come in. I’m very upset. I guess I’ll just get half of my couch on Saturday.
