We stopped here after our canoe trip this past weekend. We love it and have already recommended to some family. It was a neat place with a nest ice creme/gift shop. I love big old places and this is defintiely a hit. Prices are reasonable. Only complaint I have is the onion ring appetizer. It.s 6.99 and we got maybe .50 worth of onions. lol. They were tasty though. I want to try the murder mystery dinner in the near future. Last, my aunt bougt their remaining red velvet cupcakes. She said they were the best and tastiest she ever had.

BA FABRICATION (08/30/2020)

We stopped this afternoon and had one of the best burgers I can remember having, and my wife had the best grilled cheese she has ever had. The buns and breads are homemade, and really set off the meals. The burger was well seasoned (not over the top, but not bland either) I was a little nervous that they hadn't asked how I wanted it cooked (it came out just BARELY pink in the middle) however my nerves were un-needed, the burger was excellent. Everything was good, the service was prompt and friendly, the wait for food was within reason. And the ice cream next door would be worth stopping by itself.nnThey have a little candy/gift shop in the ice cream store where my son and wife managed to both find stuff they just had to have.nnVery neat experience, and it seems they have some murder mystery/dinner theatre on occasion.nn5/5 - Very, very, very well done.

We had such a good experience staying at your historic abbey building. The room we had was very luxury equiped.nWe felt very welcomed by you and your staff and even joined a Bunker Mystery Dinner in the Abbey!nWe enjoyed our breakfast buffet in the Morning in Thee Abbey Kitchen and in the evening we ate good quality Catfish.nOverall a very good and nice experience, we will come back when we are in the area again!

Service was excellent. Food was par. First no pickles on my sandwich like it said on the menu. 2nd. They gave me fries when didnt order them because it a dollar more for. Was very quick to fix and bring me the chips but old and cold chips. Still tasted better then the fries.

Great mushroom and Swiss burger, fried chicken sandwich and the most juicy, tender roast beef ever. However, all of these are capped off by the most wonderful, fresh baked buns. Great ranch dressing too, as a side note.nIt was a very busy lunch time but the wait staff worked together to assure everyone had sufficient drink refills and all needs were met--just like a good restaurant should be run!!nWe bought a cinnamon roll to take home (a little pricey) but it had an accident--it accidentally got eaten in entirety before we left the parking lot. ud83dude01
