Went in to buy a controller. Couldn't just do that. Was told I needed to listen to the employees sales pitches to join all of their yearly programs because that was their job regardless of telling them I have no interest over and over. They still signed me up for a program of theirs that was free even though I told them not to as well as re registering my old email from when I did have a membership here so that I am getting spam from the store daily. After 10 minutes of sales pitch I then paid with a $100 bill. The employee checked it (as they should) before going on about how if they have drawers off the boss there likes to throw things larger items in the store at them as punishment before showing me an item that had been thrown at them. I dont know what is going on here but this place is an absolute mess. I have zero interest in a return. If you truly need a gamestop just go to Merle Hay or JC mall.

Great place to go for games, as long as you are the buyer. If you need to sell, I would suggest other options as there buying value is beyond lower then you could think of.

Brother ordered a game. They ordered it for the wrong console, said they would do product replacement for it, said it would be in midweek. Called in midweek, ope they never put a replacement order up for it. It's been a week, it's still not in. No one has been at all helpful and no one has confirmed if they actually put in the order for product replacement. So we are now a week behind on the game from everyone else we usually play it with. And yea, we paid for the game and they are still going nothing to help fix it.

This store is by far my favorite Game Stop in all of Des Moines! They have a much better game selection and other accessories! They are the most friendly and knowledgeable staff, they really know their stuff and I love that about them!! I don't plan on shopping at any other store! This is where I will go from now on because I couldn't imagine any other place where the staff really know how to make their customers have a great experience!
