I live in a historic house in the Longfellow neighborhood. There was serious damage done to my chimney due to a lightning strike. I called Southeast Iowa Masonry and three other masonry contractors. Rob returned my call the same day. He came out the next day, assessed the damage and had a quote to me very promptly. Of the other three contractors, two returned my call and eventually came and looked at the chimney. One turned the job down and one just wanted to patch it. Rob took the time to find bricks that matched the existing ones and rebuilt the damaged portion of the chimney completely. It is better than it was before and looks great. He was professional throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Southeast Iowa Masonry.

I called four different masonry companies in Iowa City and Southeast Iowa Masonry was the only one who actually answered the phone. Of the remaining three, only one bothered to call me back and it took them almost two weeks to come out and even look at the job to give me a bid. Southeast was there within a few days and provided me with an itemized quote the same week. I had to hound the competitor for a quote and when it came back it was significantly higher. Southeast booked the job and was complete within a week of my call, actually two days ahead of schedule. They were professional and did outstanding work. If I ever am in need of masonry work again they are the only ones I'll call.
