Butter Custom Bakery

I ordered an edible slime kit for my kiddo. She loved it, played with it, and ate it. No waste and no big mess! She has fun creating it, mostly, on her own. I was able to purchase over the phone and pick up curbside. Super easy and convenient.

I ordered a storybook cake for my baby shower and Kaitlyn did a wonderful job! The cake was champagne and delicious and the frosting and fondant absolutely homemade and perfect plus her artistic rendering of it was amazing everyone at the shower thought it was so beautiful. The price was extremely reasonable I had expected it to be more around the $75 but it was only $44.

Verbally comitted to a cake (2 emails and phone calls made) and she never followed through. Some disappointed 12 year olds (my daughters). I wouldn't count on this baker to follow through. Not the way to run a business.

My mother and I went to this bakery to try it out to use for my upcoming wedding since this bakery recently opened. When we pulled up to the bakery and went to walk in a ~12 year old child ran up to turn on the lights in the store. The store is rather bare, which is to be expected for a new business. Unfortunately there was no music or anything in the background. This combined with the plain walls and the child (that must work there) just staring at us made the store a little creepy. The owner came out shortly and was nice. After telling her that we were looking around for a wedding cake place she told us about her website. We decided to try all the flavors of cupcakes that she had. We tried the chocolate, vanilla, lemon, and carrot. The chocolate cake was extremely dry and dense. The frosting on the chocolate cake was so hard that the plastic tasting fork we were using had trouble piercing it. The frosting tasted like a stale version of that frosting you can buy in a grocery store cake aisle. The vanilla cake (pictured) was massively over-baked and dry with very hard frosting. The vanilla cake had no flavor at all and the frosting again tasted like a stale store-bought frosting. The lemon cake was again over-baked and dry with no lemon flavor. The frosting was hard and tasted like the lemon store-bought frosting. The carrot cake was the best out of the lot. It was dry and not particularly flavorful. The frosting was not refrigerated and seemed store-bought again. The case was not refrigerated as the cupcakes were warm, which was concerning for the cream-cheese frosting. We also decided to get a sugar cookie to see how it was. It was so hard that same fork couldn't break it. It tasted almost exactly like those sugar cookies with the frosting and sprinkles that you can get in grocery stores that people bring to children's parties, which is not good. We were really excited to try this bakery as there aren't that many great ones in the area, but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations.

The baked goods are delicious! Personal favorites are the chocolate cupcakes, cinnamon sugar donuts and the lemon blueberry muffins. SO GOOD! Food is made fresh and the owner is local! Highly recommend!
