I was on Texas regional. The recruiter didn't tell me that was strictly night driving. The terminal manager at the Dallas,Texas terminal tries to intimidate drivers and bully them. Very unprofessional. I reported it to corporate. They did not care. They are not family or driver oriented. I tried to get on another account. Nobody at corporate would even speak to me. They are a completely different company than they were 20+ years ago.

Do you like being a salary slave? Getting bare minimum miles? Sitting in random locations with no restroom facilities for drivers? Waiting 20-30 hours for a load that will only take 5-7 hours to deliver? Only getting home long enough to do a 34 hour reset? Doing relays in the smallest truck stops in the country in the middle of the night? This is the job for you!!!

Been at heartland for about a month and a half so not that long been with 2 or 3 trucking company’s before them Crosby being the worst(DO NOT WORK FOR THEM) but Heartland so far is awesome all there terminals are clean shower and alI the necessary facilities get good miles my dispatcher Luke is great I get my home time and yes all trucking companies have there ups and downs the things I would say so far is in my personal opinion the pay could be more, instead of asking for truck numbers ask for the drivers name to me that does feel more homie and attracts a lot more drivers than you think, and some of the night staff could be nicer call quite a few times at night and the night dispatchers were rude as hell.

I've been with Heartland Express since June 3rd, 2016 and for the most part have had a great time working here! I make great money and have regular hometime! I have one of the best dispatchers who keeps me moving! Heartland has ups and downs just like any company! There are times when they will allow regular drivers to go have lunch with new hires in orientation! Heartland takes care of their drivers!!!
