I like to evaluate places on a metric of four things. Are the products available of good quality, are the people working of good quality, is what you're looking for available, and how efficient was the visit. Here, the products were good (5/5), the employees were helpful, but not overbearing (5/5), they had everything I needed (5/5), and I was in and out in a mostly efficient manner (4/5). Would go again.

Nice selection of paints, good prompt customer service

Ok so I used to be a die hard Menards customer (it was just where I grew up going so I know where everything is at), but one day I decided to bop in to Home Depot to try to find a tile cutter. I found a worker up on a ladder, hoping for just a point in the general direction of where I needed to go in an effort not to disturb his task. Not only did he get down and walk me across the store to the exact item, he answered every question I had regarding my project. Seriously, it was so amazing. He had worked in pretty much every home improvement profession so it was super nice to hear tips from experience. After he misplaced his phone on a shelf somewhere while being so helpful and engaged, my demands taking us all over the store, I realized he must be my spirit animal and decided to have him help me find a ton more. Ever since that visit I have had amazing experiences at the returns counter, in-store pickup, and many more times on the sales floor, one involving 2 workers helping me problem solve in the plumbing aisle, super determined to find the solution and the fittings i needed. I was so thankful for those gentlemen that day. I never leave feeling discontent or unheard, and there's something to be said about that nowadays. Keep doing what you're doing, Home Depot. Its working.

I'll have to stop there this weekend to get some fire alarms for the building that my supervisor sent me and they came from Home Depot
